Incursion (2013)

You and your partner slip into the role of opposed brother and sister. One of your characters is a Tank, who defeats his enemies using a rough car door. His sister, an agile Rogue, acts as the counterpart, wielding two sharp swords.
The two opposed warriors belong to a tribe that attempts to survive in a world, that is destroyed by the lust for power of long passed ancestors.

Incursion is a Hack & Slay game with an extensive focus on cooperative gameplay.The goal of this project was to develop a Vertical Slice with basic game mechanics of a Hack & Slay game. The focus lay on the implementation of a cooperative fighting system.

The game was made with the Unreal Development Kit.

My main responsibilities during this project where the following:
  • Working with the UDK Animation System
  • Implementing player input and character movement
  • Building a fighting system with attack combinations
  • Evaluating and implementing different combat hit models
